The idea is that you will choose a product that someone may have interest in. By getting this product in front of your audience you can make a commission if someone makes a purchase.

There are different strategies I use to accomplish that.

For one, I built a website by starting a blog.

Let's say your a woman and your into beauty and makeup products. You can write content about a brand and their products. That content gets ranked on Google. When people search on Google about that product or brand, your website will show up, they will see it and click it. On your website, you put a link to the product your reviewing or an alternative that can be brought on Amazon and a visitor goes to check it out.

When that person goes to Amazon and buys ANYTHING within 24 hours, you will earn a commission. Let's say that she buys beauty and makeup products along with pet food for the dog or other things she might need.

You'll get a commission on the beauty products along with anything else purchased. Let's say that 10 visitors repeat the same and you have made $300 in a day. Do you start seeing the potential?

There are more than 4 BILLION people on the Internet (and counting!) so the potential is huge. You just need to get a tiny fraction of that huge mass and you are already making a nice income.

Another strategy I use is to pay for advertisements to promote products on various platforms. This does not involve blogging or publishing content as the main goal is to get someone to take action, either by purchasing a product I am promoting or building a list to follow up with potential buyers.

These strategies of promoting products and earning a commission is called affiliate marketing.

What Is Affiliate Marketing?

If you have never heard of affiliate marketing before, don't worry because I didn't know anything about it a few years ago but nowadays I make a full-time income with it. Everybody who is making a BIG income with affiliate marketing has started from 0.

Affiliate marketing is simply a process of earning commissions by promoting other people's products.

Today pretty much all companies on the Internet have an affiliate program. There are 1,000,000's of products in the world that you can promote to earn money through affiliate marketing. The only thing you basically need to do is to leave a link, somebody buys through your link and you earn a commission.

Do you know Apple for example? You can go to the Apple website, sign up for their affiliate program. Recommend Apple to your friend and earn a commission for doing that. That's how affiliate marketing works.

The reason why many people love making money online with affiliate marketing is that you don't really "sell" any products.

The best way to make money with affiliate marketing is to help people by recommending products that they are already looking for.

Let's say, for example, that I am looking for a healthy protein powder. I type on Google, "The best vegan protein powders." I find a website that reviews different protein powders or health supplements and I look through the ones recommended.

I click the #1 recommended protein powder and it directs me now to Amazon. I buy the protein powder. the website owner who had referred me to Amazon earned a commission and helped me to find it. He offered a solution to my problem.

There's No Need to Sell in Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is a win-win-win situation.

A customer who is looking for a product finds the best one.
Affiliate (you) earns a commission for recommending the product.
A company gets a new customer.

The key to succeeding in affiliate marketing is helping others. Your task is to connect a customer (with a need/problem) with a product (=solution). For example, my need was to find the best vegan protein powders and the website helped me to find it. He helped me and didn't need to sell anything.

When you help your website visitors, they will trust you and buy whatever you recommend. Building a trust is a key because people like to buy from someone they trust.

For example, did you ever buy a phone, laptop, bike, car, dress or any other product because some of your friends recommended it to you? I guess all of us have bought something because our friend recommended it. That's because we trust our friends.

As an affiliate you build trust with your website visitors and then recommend products that will help them.

Affiliate marketing is an extremely fast-growing industry. People are spending more money online and there are more people using the Internet than ever before.

Solo Ads

The most inexpensive way to start building a list in the form of paid advertisement is through Solo Ads. Solo ads are email-based advertisements you buy from other email list owners. They're typically sent as dedicated emails – so the entire message is all about your promotion. While other businesses can make use of solo ads, they're most popular among affiliates and information marketers.

There are a lot of places where Solo ads can be brought, however you must be wary of buying from anyone. This was how I first started to build an email list fast and I learned this strategy from Igor Khelifits. He is one of the top affiliate marketers in the industry and earns well over 7 figures a year.

He shares a list of reputable sources you can go to purchase Solo Ads. He also shares the strategies he used that made him over $100,000 in a week.

You can go on Google and research for Solo Ads, or you can join certain forums in Clickbank, WarriorPlus etc and ask questions before investing in Solo Ads. Keep in mind that I have found the Make Money Online Niche to be the best return on investment when it comes to Solo Ads. As you become more familiar with Affiliate marketing you will realize that some niches do better depending on the strategy you apply.

Running Ads Through Search Engines

This will cost a bit more per lead, but they will be higher quality than what you get from using Solo Ads. I would also recommend beginning with Microsoft Ads which displays on the search networks Bing and Yahoo. Microsoft Ads is less expensive and restrictive than Google and is the best choice for beginners.

Running ads on search engines requires a bit of knowledge in researching Keywords. To run traffic to your campaign you can bid on certain keywords. Phrases like how to make money online gets a lot of searches per month. This is optional, but I recommend investing in Jaaxy Keyword Research Tool as it is easy to understand and my go to choice for researching keywords. You can use free tools but the results you get won't be as reliable as Jaaxy.

If you build a quality landing page that offers free material or courses in exchange for someones email then you can follow up with offers to help people make money online.

Keep in mind that there are things to consider when optimizing your search campaigns. You need to take into account what ages, gender, and geographical locations will be best suitable for your offer. You should also increase and decrease bidding on your devices as searches on computers convert better than smartphones.

Running Ads on Social Media

Social media is a huge traffic source for affiliate marketers to get plenty of views to their offers. Whether it’s Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, Tik Tok, or Pinterest, these can be all utilized to grow your affiliate business if used correctly. I highlighted correctly because if you don’t know what you are doing you can get banned quickly from Facebook.

I invested in a program to broaden my knowledge in affiliate marketing, and to my dismay it was tailor made for doing Affiliate Marketing on Facebook and Tik Tok. Needless to say I got banned from Facebook before studying the lessons, and I could never get my account active again. I must note that you can use social media without running ads to promote affiliate offers if you have a good following.

As I gained experience as an affiliate marketer, I realized that you do not necessarily need to build a website. Blogging to get free traffic to affiliate products can take some time to see results.
